Bios: Zachary Shields

Zach Shields moved to Decatur for a “brief stop” in 2000 and accidentally stayed. Then he accidentally built a horse farm. As Executive Director of the Decatur Public Schools Foundation, Zach engages the community in education, and has contributed to Decatur Magazine’s local color columns for 15 years, covering everything from green pizza to skinny jeans.
